Students lead away from bullying
GREENSBURG - Recently, 22 Greensburg Community High School students and their
sponsor weathered snow, ice and frigid temperature to participate in a two-day
leadership training program at Camp Allendale near Trafalgar.
John Deckard conducted the sessions on developing initiatives and facilitating
team building activities. Deckard is with The Tributary Circle, an agency that
specializes in developing youth leadership through experiential education.

The team has chosen the name Greensburg Teen Facilitators or GTE. They plan to
use their expertise with students in both the Greensburg Elementary School and
the Greensburg Junior High School. They will focus their programs on respect and
bullying. Bruce Copple, School Resource Officer, is the group’s sponsor; he was
assisted by Laura Nicholson.
