Obituary for Arnold M. Leas
Arnold M. (Jake) Leas died, September 17, 2001 in Reid Hospital in Richmond, Indiana.
Mr. Leas was born, July 19, 1915 in Steuben County, a son of the late Warren and Leola (Spangler) Leas.
He was a chemical engineer and retired corporate director of research and development with Ashland Oil. He was a Kentucky Colonel.
Surviving are his wife Helen (Strait) Leas; two brothers, Rex Leas of Arcadia, Florida and Vance Leas of Ashley, Indiana; and a sister, Phyllis Knight of Lancaster, California. Brothers Laurence, Robert, Lyle, Eugene and a sister, Latriealle Reinoehl preceded him in death.
A memorial service was held, Wednesday, September 24, 2001 at the Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens in Ashland, Kentucky by the Rev. Arthur Scott.
Kilgore & Collier Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
