Mrs. Leas retired from the Appliance Manufacturing Company in Van Buren and Dacra Glass in Montpelier. She was a member of Dillman United Brethren in Christ Church, the Jackson Township Home Economics Club, the Star Sunday School Class, and served as vice president of the Wells County Farm Bureau. She was also named a Wells County Homemaker of the Year.

She was born in Huntington County, to Ora E. and June Pinkerton Campbell. She was a 1947 graduate of Jefferson Township High School. She married Gail Eugene Leas in Jackson Township, Wells County, on July 31, 1949. He survives.

Also surviving are a daughter, Linda Walters, Marion; two sons, Philip Leas, Poneto, and Bruce E. Leas, Montpelier; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A brother, Paul Campbell, preceded her in death.
