"Dad grew up in North Platte, NE, went to the University of Minnesota and when he graduated, he got a job with Lockheed in Burbank, CA \endash he worked his entire career for Lockheed. Mom and Dad met at an Arthur Murray dance studio in CA. Mom, of course, came to California with Lyle and Helen and stayed for a while with Larry and Isabelle until she got a job. Dad's mother (who had married Frank Crane) moved to California to be closer to her only child (and later) her grandchildren. She lived about 10 miles from where I grew up."
