Thomas I purchased 100 called "Mary's Delight" from Charles Smith: Thomas I purchased 100 called "Mary's Delight" from Charles Smith, 27 Oct 1705, Baltimore County, Maryland, USA. "Mary's Delight" lay between Deer Creek and the Susquehana River; he received his Land Patent from the Province of Maryland for this 100 acres on May 1, 1707.

After he bought "Mary's Delight" in 1705, he raised tobacco on his plantation and worked as Province Carpenter as well until 1717.

Thomas bought 200 acres from Wm. & Mary Innholder Glanvill for 5000 pounds of tobacco: Thomas bought 200 acres from Wm. & Mary Innholder Glanvill for 5000 pounds of tobacco, 20 Nov 1717, Kent Co, Maryland. This land was near Grasin Creek and was called "Bounty." He changed the name to "Gudgeon's Adventure." The transaction is listed in Kent County, Maryland Land Records - Liber 2, page 501, dated 20 November 1717. This record shows him as "Province Carpenter."
