# Note: In a letter from McCormick and McCormick, Attorneys and Councelors at Law of Cincinnati, Ohio on December 6, 1878, William A. Lyons writes: "Dear Sir - Mrs. Nancy Gudgeon who held certificate of Pension No. 8295 as widow of William Gudgeon, late of Capt. Henry Page's company of Maryland Volunteer died November 30, 1878 leaving no property whatever. Please send me the proper vouchers to make collection of a means to repay funerall expenses paid by me."
Nancy married William Gudgeon IV, son of William Gudgeon III and Elizabeth Unknown, on 19 Oct 1817 in Belaire, Kent Co, Maryland. (William Gudgeon IV was born about 1789 in Kent Co, Maryland and died on 14 Apr 1861 in Pendleton, Hamilton Co, Ohio.)
