Sudden Death

John Leas, Sr., died very suddenly, at his residence in this place, last Monday forenoon.

He had been down town in the morning, and was apparently in good health. Returning, he sat down in a chair and expired, so suddenly that the family scarcely had time to call for assistance, even from the neighbors.

The funeral was attended at the Reformed Church yesterday, and was attended by a large audience of relatives and friends. The deceased was 77 years of age.
