Francis Bream(1804-1882)married at St Jmes Lutheran in Gettysburg in 1842. Francis was a sheriff of Adams Co and proprietor of Black Horse Tavern west of G-burg.

pg. 66 photo-9 people "Members of the Bream family pose on the porch of the Black Horse Tavern, est. in 1812. The photograph was taken in the second decade of the 20th century. Located on the Gettysburg-Fairfield Road at the Marsh Creek Crossing, the tavern stood four miles sw of Gettysburg. Every building on the property was used as a hospital during the battle. Wounded members of Pickett's division were taken here. Unpaid damages to this property amounted to over $7,000. (GNMP)"
