DAWSON L. "DOC" NOLL, 87, of Hudson, died Friday, Nov. 13, 2009 at home. Born April 1, 1922, in Salem Center, Ind., he was the son of Samuel and Ida (Allen) Noll. He was retired owner of Noll Brothers Oil Company, Hudson, in 1989. He was a Hudson Volunteer Fireman for 40 years. He earned his Pilots license and enjoyed bowling and IU Basketball. He served in U.S. Army during World War II serving in the south Pacific. He was a member of Orland American Legion 423. Surviving are his wife, LaVera M. (Beckberger) Noll of Hudson; son, Michael L. (Linda L.) Noll of Fort Wayne; grandson , Thomas M. Noll of Chicago; brother, Don Noll of Ashley; sister, Bessie Boyer of Angola; and many nieces and nephews. Service is 11 a.m. Monday at Johnson Funeral Home, Hudson. Calling is from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial in Circle Cemetery.
