Sonja C. Leas, 72, of York, passed peacefully in her sleep Monday, July 12, 2010, at her home with her family near. Sonja was the wife of the late Robert E. Leas, Sr.
Born June 30, 1938, Sonja was the daughter of the late Charles Guise and Francis (Guise) Smith.
Sonja was preceded in death by two sons, Robert E. Leas, Jr. and Stephen Leas; a daughter, Bonnie Leas; and a stepbrother, Kenneth Smith. Sonja leaves to cherish her memory a son, Charles (Chuck) Leas and his companion, Daneen Harris; granddaughter, EttaJae Jiles-Leas, who lived with Sonja; a companion, Harold (Gus) Williams; sister, Kathy Sweitzer; stepsister, Patty Sanner; daughterin-law; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sons, Robert E. Leas, Jr. and Stephen Leas; a daughter, Bonnie Leas; a sister, Bonnie Ward; and a stepbrother, Kenneth Smith.
Burial will be in the family sector at Mt. Rose Cemetery.
