Lavinia was the daughter of the Charles Bingham, 1st Earl of Lucan. She married George John Spencer, 2nd Earl Spencer in 1781. To this union nine children were born;
1. John Charles Spencer, 3rd Earl Spencer (1782\endash 1845)
2. Lady Sarah Spencer (1787\endash 1870), married William Lyttelton, 3rd Baron Lyttelton and had issue.
3. Hon. Richard Spencer (1789\endash 1791), died in infancy.
4. Captain Hon. Sir Robert Cavendish Spencer (1791\endash 1830), died unmarried.
5. Hon. William Spencer (b. & d. 1792), died in infancy.
6. Lady Harriet Spencer (b. & d. 1793), died in infancy.
7. Lady Georgiana Charlotte Spencer (1794\endash 1823), married George Quin, son of Thomas Taylour, 1st Marquess of Headfort and had issue.
8. Vice-Admiral Sir Frederick Spencer, 4th Earl Spencer (1798\endash 1857)
9. Very Reverend Hon. George Spencer (1799\endash 1864), died unmarried.
Lady Spencer died in June 1831, aged 68.
Lavinia married George John Spencer 2nd Earl Spencer, son of John Spencer 1st Earl Spencer and Margaret Georgiana Poyntz, in 1781. (George John Spencer 2nd Earl Spencer was born on 1 Sep 1758 in Wimbledon, London Borough of Merton, Greater London, England, died on 10 Nov 1834 in Althorp, Daventry District, Northamptonshire, England and was buried in St Mary the Virgin with St John Churchyard, Great Brington, Daventry District, Northamptonshire, England.)
