Mary Catlin/Catlyn, was the sole daughter and heir of Sir Robert Catlyn, of Berne, Dorset and the Lord Chief Justice.

Mary first married Sir John Spencer, Kt. He was the son of Sir John Spencer, Kt, of Wormleighton & Althorp and Katherine (Kitson). To this union one son was born; Robert, 1st Baron Spencer, of Wormleighton.

2nd she married Edward Glascoke after 1600.

Mary married Sir John Spencer III, Knight, son of Sir John Spencer II, Knight and Katherine Kitson. (Sir John Spencer III, Knight was born in 1546 in Althorp, Daventry District, Northamptonshire, England, died on 9 Jan 1600 in Northamptonshire, England and was buried in St Mary the Virgin with St John Churchyard, Great Brington, Daventry District, Northamptonshire, England.)
