Charlotte Mary (Baumgart) Langerud was born in Antler, ND on October 20, 1925, the daughter of Paul and Phyllis (Nelson) Baumgart. Charlotte was raised and educated in Rock Lake, ND, graduating with the class of 1945. She worked as a waitress in Fargo, ND, for a year and then moved back to Rock Lake. Charlotte was very active in the community. She was a member of Rock Lake United Methodist Church, Rock Lake VFW Auxiliary, and was a 4-H Leader. Charlotte enjoyed entertaining family and friends and was famous for her donuts! She enjoyed walks, cooking and baking, playing cards, gardening and yard work. She and Alton loved to go snowmobiling with friends. Charlotte loved the farm life and was always active in it. She would help Alton during the harvest by driving the grain truck.

Charlotte enjoyed her years at Golden Valley Manor very much and participated in all the activities they had to offer.
