<b>1767 Will:</b><u> </u> 5 May 1767 will of "Johannes Shieffer of the township of Springfield in the County of Bucks and Province of Pennsylvania" leaves the bulk of his estate to his "<b>beloved wife Barbara</b>" and mentions his children as follows: "<b>eldest son John Shlieffer . . . sons Jacob, Abraham, David, Henry, and Samuel . . . daughters Barbara, Elisabeth, Catharina, and Barbara Steel the only daughter and child of my eldest daughter Mary deceased</b> . . ." Johannes directs that his executor "as soon as convenient may be after my decease shall sell all my land and grist mill situate lying and being in the township of Upper Saucon in the County of Northampton." He further directs that "all of my land whereon I now live on and situate lying and being in the Township of Springfield aforesaid and also all my moveable goods and chattels unto my beloved wife Barbara Shieffer."
