Blanche I. Leas Boyce of York died at 9:54 p.m. Aug. 31 at York Hospital. She was 80. Mrs. Boyce was an em-ployee of the YWCA of York for 30 years. She was also a domestic worker for many York area fam-ilies and businesses.
She was a member of the Sal-vation Army Church and Women's Ministry. Born in Reading Township, Adams County, June 16, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Paul E. and Mazie Spangler Leas Sr. She was the wife of the late Kenneth R. Boyce Sr.
She leaves two daughters, Shirley I. Waltemyer of Henrico, N.C., and Roxie J. Brought of York; two sons, Kenneth R. Boyce Jr. and Ronald L. Boyce, both of York; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; five sis-ters, Dorothy Miller of Jermyn, Lackawanna County, Ellen Hinkle and Janet Shoemaker, both of Dover, Annie Wilt of East Berlin and Elverna Borror of Bethel Park, Allegheny County; five brothers, Arthur Leas, Charles Leas, Fred Leas, and Harold Leas, all of East Berlin, and Paul Leas Jr. of Glen Rock.
Viewing is from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Salva-tion Army Church, 124 S. Duke St. The service is at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church with Capt. James B. Cocker of the Salvation Army officiating. Burial is in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 50 E. King St., York 17401. Etzweiler Funeral Home Inc., 1111 E. Market St., is in charge of arrangements.
