Gladys R. LEPLEY, 99, Ashley, died Sunday, November 14, 1993, in Meadow Haven Health Care Center.

She was born April 19, 1894 in Farmer, Ohio, the daughter of Mabrose and Melissa (HINER) SPANGLER. She lived in Ashley for 80 years, was a homemaker and helped her husband operate Guy C. Lepley Auto Sales and Service in Ashley for over 60 years. She was a 75 year member of Order of the Eastern Star 229, and a member of World War II Mother's Club. She was also a member of Ashley United Methodist Church.

She married Guy C. LEPLEY, January 27, 1915, in Hudson. He died November 27, 1964.

She is survived by four daughters, Waneta TAGTMEYER, Fremont, Joyce MEYERS, Rocky River, Ohio, Sharon MILLER, Pleasant Lake, Karon DILLEY, Chicago, Ill.; six sons, Walter LEPLEY, DeWayne LEPLEY, Buddie LEPLEY, and Jim LEPLEY, all of Ashley; 46 grandchildren; 74 great-grandchildren; 21 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, a sister and a son.

Calling is Tuesday at Johnston Funeral Home, Hudson.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Hugh Rohrer officiating. An Eastern Star services will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Preferred memorials are to the donor's choice or Ashley United Methodist Church. ⁴

Gladys married Guy Conklin Lepley, son of William Lepley and Dabia E. Conklin, on 27 Jan 1915 in Hudson, Steuben Co, IN. (Guy Conklin Lepley was born on 10 Feb 1891 in Salem Township, Steuben County, Indiana,³ died on 27 Nov 1964 ⁴ and was buried in Circle Cem., Hudson, Steuben Co., IN ³.)
