Alta was the 2nd of 4 daughters born to James Blackburn and Jennie "Sibley" Crowe. She was named after her aunt, Altazana Crow Steele. Her lifelong occupation was school teacher. She died at the age of 98 years, 2 months and 27 days. Although Alta is buried in the plot I have mentioned, there has been no headstone erected yet. 3
