Her tombstone in Circle Cemetery indicates that she was born in 1837 and died in 1922.

Lived in Hudson, Steuben County, Indiana in 1900.

Mrs. Rachael Norman, mother of Ed Norman, aged 42 and engineer, who was killed in the Wabash Railroad wreck at Montpelier, last Wednesday, is in critical condition at the home of her daughter, Mrs. F.S. Hafer, of Kendallville, on account of the sudden death of her son. The Albion Democrat, February 5, 1917

Rachel married John Norman, son of Samuel Norman and Annie Heywood, on 4 Jul 1854 in Richland County, Ohio, USA.¹ (John Norman was born on 26 Jun 1834 in Coshocton, Coshocton County, Ohio, USA, died on 16 Oct 1906 in Hudson, Salem Township, Steuben County, Indiana, USA ⁵ and was buried in Circle Cemetery, Hudson, Steuben County, Indiana, USA.)

  Marriage Notes:

Maybe on July, 1854 near Richland, Ohio. There was a marriage notice in THE OHIO LIBERAL, 13 August 1884, Vol. 12, No. 18.

If Rachel's birth date is correct, then she would have been 1 years old when she married. Obviously this cannot be correct.
