Her tombstone in Circle Cemetery indicates that she was born in 1837 and died in 1922.

Lived in Hudson, Steuben County, Indiana in 1900.

• Residence: US Census, 1900, Hudson, Salem Twp., Steuben Co., IN. Father born in Virginia and mother born in Ohio

• Resided: US Census, 1850, Springfield, Richland County, Ohio. Age 13 and living with her parents.

Rachel married John Norman, son of Norman and Unknown, on 4 Jul 1854 in Richland County, Ohio.^{1 2} (John Norman was born in Jun 1834 in Ohio, died in 1906 ⁶ and was buried in Circle Cem, Hudson, Steuben Co, IN.)

Maybe on July, 1854 near Richland, Ohio. There was a marriage notice in THE OHIO LIBERAL, 13 August 1884, Vol. 12, No. 18.

If Rachel's birth date is correct, then she would have been 1 years old when she married. Obviously this cannot be correct.
