Notes for Peter REINOEHL:
Peter and Elizabeth lived in a log house south of Helmer, IN, just south of the farmhouse now the residence of Or Smith (1973). Later they owned a 120 acre farm nearby, where they lived the rest of their lives. At least their older children were born in the old log house. He is remembered as a big, handsome, good-natured man, with snowy hair and bear.

Peter married Sarah Ann Sides on 18 Sep 1856 in Wayne County, Ohio, USA.

Peter next married Elizabeth Hovarter, daughter of Johannes Howerter and Nancy Weirich, on 10 Jan 1867 in Dekalb County, Indiana, USA. (Elizabeth Hovarter was born on 25 Dec 1846 in Sugar Creek, Wayne County, Ohio, USA, died on 6 Feb 1899 in Dekalb County, Indiana, USA and was buried in Fairfield Cemetery, Fairfield Center, Dekalb County, Indiana, USA ².)
