Note: Thomas O. Burke/Birk, son of Susan Burke Gudgeon, and Margaret, his wife,, stated in separate affadavits dated January 30, 1905, that William Gudgeon's "first wife Susan Burke died at Ft. Jefferson, Darke Co, Ohio Sept. 20, 1882. Her body was taken to affiant's house in Jacksonburg, Ohio and buried from there in the Jacksonburg Cemetery."
Susannah married Rev. William Henry Gudgeon, son of William Gudgeon IV and Nancy Ann Jones. (Rev. William Henry Gudgeon was born on 1 Feb 1824 in Tyler Co, Virginia/ West Virginia and died on 24 Nov 1900 in Fort Jefferson, Neave Township, Darke County, Ohio, USA.)
