James Pleasant Gunn ¹

  General Notes:

Another interesting Gunn was James Gunn, born in Hen¬
rico County, December 13th. 1813 and vhde sufficient rec¬
ords have not been produced, we are sure that he was one
of the descendants of James Gunn of Charles City. "Hiis
James of 1813 prior to and during the Civil War was a prom¬
inent lumber dealer in Virginia. He also owned and oper¬
ated a Box Manufacturing plant. The name of his wife is
missing from our records, but this couple had a large family
of children, as follows:

Regina.
William S.
Arthur.

James married Regina Pocahontas Clark on 6 Jul 1836 in Richmond, Henrico County, Virginia, USA. (Regina Pocahontas Clark was born about 1817 in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, USA, died on 8 Dec 1889 in Richmond, Henrico County, Virginia, USA and was buried in Hollywood Cemetery, Richmond, Henrico, Virginia, USA.)
