Dwight L. Booher, 78
MONTPELIER - Dwight L. Booher, 78, died at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 23, at the Lutheran Hospital, Ft. Wayne.
He was born in Wells County on November 23, 1925, to Carl and Electra Rose (Ballinger) Booher. Both of his parents precede him in death.
He was a 1943 graduate of Jackson center high School.
He married June (Brown) Booher in Wells County on December 27, 1974.
Mr. Booher was a retired Wells County farmer, and was also a lifetime resident of Jackson Township, Wells County.
He and his wife also lived at Waldron Lake for the past 16 years, where he had also sold used automobiles.
Mr. Booher loved fishing, goose hunting and moose hunting, and was also an avid Indiana University and Indiana Pacer's fan.
He attended the Asbury United Methodist Church, Jackson Township, Wells County.
Survivors include his wife June Booher, Montpelier; daughters Brenda Howard, Cleves, Ohio; Sheila (husband - Mike) Moseley, Flower Mound, Texas; son Dennis (wife - Dixie) Booher, Piketon, Ohio; step-sons, Gary (wife - Kay) Stoffer, Van Buren; Larrie (wife - Rhonda) Stoffer, Warren; Steven (wife - Angela) Stoffer, Hartford City; step-daughters, Cathy (husband - John) Shaffer, marion; Lorrie (husband - Dick) Arnold, Bluffton; sisters Bonnie (husband - Bill) Avery, Plainfield; LaVonne Brown, Montpelier; step-brother Harold (wife - Phyllis) Stinson, Fla.; step-sisters, Hildred Foust, Montpelier; Virginia Leas, Hartford City; Doris Cline, Warren; 20 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Ralph Booher, step-brothers Forrest Stinson and Roger Stinson, step-sister Esther Mann.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 27, at Asbury United Methodist Church, 1100 S. St. Rd. 3, Montpelier, with Rev. Eric Dubach and Pastor Steve Gray officiating.
Burial will be at Asbury Cemetery, Wells County.
Calling will be from 2:00 to 5:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, June 26, at Glancy Funeral Homes- Walker Chapel, 109 W. Windsor St., Montpelier.
Calling also from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 27, at Asbury United Methodist Church.
