Butlerville Man Fatally Injured In One Vehicle Crash

Greensburg, IN -  At approximately 11:45 pm on Saturday, September 4, 2005, the Indiana State Police investigated a one vehicle crash on County Road 450 South near State Road 3 in Decatur County.

Preliminary investigation revealed that there were two people in the vehicle.  The driver identified as Don Templeton, 48, of Greensburg was traveling on County Road 450 South when he lost control of the the vehicle pinning the passenger under the vehicle.  The passenger, Luke Johnson, 21, of Butlerville, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Templeton has been preliminarily charged with Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated Causing a Death, a class B Felony.

The investigation is continuing and additional charges are possible.  Assisting Trooper Scott at the scene were other members of the Indiana State Police, Decatur County Sheriff's Department, Greensburg Fire Department, and the Decatur County EMS.
