Joseph Fitch ¹

  General Notes:

oseph Fitch was the son of Thomas Fitch and Anne Reeve. He married Mary Stone, youngest daughter of Rev. Samuel Stone and Hope Fletcher.

Joseph was the youngest of four immigrant brothers, born in Bocking, Essex, England. He came to America with his widowed mother, Anne (Reeve) Fitch.

Passenger Immigration List Index, by Meredith Colket, Jr. indicates Joseph Fitch arrived in 1651 to Connecticut.

Per "New England Marriages prior to 1700," Joseph Fitch (-1727) and Mary [Stone] married by 1654, Norwalk, CT.

International marriage record indicates Joseph Fitch, born about 1630, England, married Mary Stone, about 1658, Connecticut.

A family data collection indicates Capt. Joseph Fitch died September 1727, Windsor, Connecticut.
