Betty Ruth Kimmel, 84, died Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at Parkview Memorial Hospital in Fort Wayne. Born in Dekalb Co., IN, she was a Supervisor of Housekeeping with Lutheran Hospital for 11 years. She attended Waynedale United Methodist, enjoyed baking and embroidering.

Survivors include children, Loretta (Ansel) Hauser Beck of Huntington, Robert (Vera) Kimmel Jr. of Wilkinson, Clifford (Jane) Kimmel, Marilyn Waikel, Elaine (Fred) Crum all of Fort Wayne, Phyllis (Robert) Loomis of Greeley, CO, Steven (April) Kimmel of Fort Wayne, and Sally (Ted) Sgro of Wolcottville; siblings, Esther Pfiffer of TN, Harold Winebrenner of AZ, Robert Winebrenner of CA, Carol German of IL, and Helen Dennison of IN; 23 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Kimmel Sr. in 1968; and son, Phillip.

Service is 11 a.m. Saturday at D.O. McComb & Sons Foster Park Funeral Home, 6301 Fairfield Avenue with calling one hour prior, Rev. Doug Croucher officiating. Calling is also from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Memorials to Shriner's Children's Hospital.

Betty married Robert Harvey Kimmel Sr., son of Clifford Ogden Kimmel Sr. and Charlotte G. Reed. (Robert Harvey Kimmel Sr. was born on 14 Aug 1921 in Indiana, USA ² and died on 11 Mar 1968 in Fort Wayne, Allen, Indiana, USA.)
