Mrs. Elizabeth J. Boone, 87, Died Today
At The Home of Her Daughter.

Funeral At Home Monday

Mrs. Elizabeth J. Boone, age 87 years, one of the oldest residents of Shelby county died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. B. Mount, in Greenfield this morning. Although old in years, she was keenly interested in all the affairs about her and maintained an untiring interest in her children and grandchildren. She had been a resident of Fairland for a number of years and had recently gone to live with her daughter.
She was the daughter of Byrum and Sallie Hubbel Harrell and was the last member of her family. Two brothers William and Judge Will Harrell died several years ago. She was the widow of Benjamin H. Boone who served in the Mexican war.
Four children survive and are as follows: Dr. B. H. Boone of Acton; Mrs. C. H. Wood of Fountaintown; and Mrs. Lewis Elier and Mrs. W. B. Mount of Greenfield. Six grandchildren, Mrs. Ralph Helme [hard to read name-JF] of Indianapolis; Helen Boone of Acton; Morris Wood, of New Palestine; Zoralice and Sterling Mount and Frances Diler, of Greenfield; and one great grandchild, Alice Elizabeth Helme also survive.
Funeral services will be held at the home of the deceased in Fairland on Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock with the Rev Burns, officiating. Burial will be in the Fairland cemetery in charge of Ralph J. Edwards.

Elizabeth married Benjamin H. Boone, son of Joseph Boone Jr. and Cassandra LeMaster Kirk, on 18 Sep 1859. (Benjamin H. Boone was born on 10 Apr 1830 and died on 6 Mar 1913 in Fairland, , Indiana.)
