"Morris L. "Buck" Poer, 56, formerly of Covington, IN passed away at 6:46 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23 in Lakeland, FL. He was born in Wabash, IN Oct. 6, 1933, the son of Lowell and Ethel (Flora) Poer.
A graduate of Indiana State University in Terre Haute, IN, he was a construction superintendent. Se was a member of the Benson Chapel United Methodist, Church. He enjoyed golf, a now hobby. He was married July 11, 1963 in Gadsen, AL, to Sarah Wright, who survives.
Other survivors ,include two sons:, David (Lori) Poer of Danville, Illinois, Dennis D. (Carrie) Poer, Williamsport, Indiana; one daughter Mrs. John (Dianne) Cotten, of Covington; one brother, James (Wilma) Poer, of Avilla, IN; one sister, Mrs. Robert (Joan) Michel, North Manchester, IN and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
Services were at the Benson Chapel United Methodist Church In Covington with the Reverend Stephen Beach officiating. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery, Memorials can be made to the American Heart Association.
