John Leas
(September 10, 1755 - May 20, 1847)
Patriot

the
Revolution
John Leas enlisted in Berks County, Pennsylvania, February 1776, and served as a Private in the Company of Captain North, in the 4th Battalion of the Pennsylvania Infantry commanded by Major Nicholas Hausegger, Regiment commanded by Colonel Anthony Wayne, afterwards, General Wayne.
This Regiment saw action during the New York Campaign, Battle of Brandywine, Battle of Germantown, Battle of Monmouth and the Sullivan Expedition.
I am a direct descendent of John Leas.
