Norman David Leas, 87, of Maytown, PA, died May 30, 2007. He was the loving husband of Alice Carter Leas with whom he celebrated 64 years of marriage.
Born in York County, Norman was a son of the late Ervin and Mary Emsbacker Leas. As well as being a farmer, Mr. Leas was part of the janitorial staff for Wyeth Labs, Marietta, with 27 years of service. He served in the US Army during WWII in the South Pacific.
A member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church for over 71 years, Norman was also a member of the Maytown American Legion Post #809, the Elizabethtown Moose and the Elizabethtown VFW.
Surviving besides his wife is a daughter, Tana Leas Yung, married to Tony K., Chesapeake, VA; a granddaughter, Christina Yung Ledbetter, married to Kelly, Michigan; two great grandsons, Blaine and Christian. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Ervin, Oscar and John Leas.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral on Saturday at 11 A.M. from St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Queen Street, Maytown. Interment in the Maytown Union Cemetery. Friends may call on Saturday from 9 A.M. until 11 A.M. at the church.
