John married Eleanor Chamberlain, daughter of William Chamberlain and Elizabeth Ten Broeck, on 8 Sep 1779 in Hunterdon Co., NJ. (Eleanor Chamberlain was born on 16 Sep 1761 in Hunterdon Co., NJ and died on 4 Jul 1817 in probably Lewisburg, PA.)
