* [...] Levi Hale (1852-1922) was born near Mt. Union. He married Laura Lease (died 1936), the daughter of James W. (1832-1915) and Celia Willeford Lease. The Willefords were very early settlers in Henry County. James Lease was a Civil War soldier. Levi and Laura Lease Hale were the parents of John Arnold Hale and Nellie (Mrs. Arthur) McCosh.
