Born while moving from PA to OH in 1805 In the 1887 obituary of Elizabeth Leas Wilson, a daughter of William and Anna Swisher Leas, Elizabeth is reported to have been "born in 1805 as her parents Wm and Anna Leas moved from Pennsylvania to Preble County, Ohio." Obituary of Elizabeth LEAS WILSON, February 10, 1887,

WILSON. - At the residence of her son-in-law, in Eaton, on Saturday, Feb. 5, Mrs. Elizabeth WILSON, widow of Thomas WILSON, deceased, and daughter of William and Anna LEAS, aged 81 years, 5 months, and 20 days.

Mother Wilson was born Sept. 15, 1805 while her parents were emigrating from Pennsylvania to Ohio. At an early day, William LEASE, with his family, settled near Lewisburg, Harrison Township, Preble Co., Ohio where the deceased had resided until she came to Eaton last August. She was the mother of eight children -- six boys and two girls, seven of whom are still living.

Her husband has been dead nine years, since whose death she has resided with her son-in-law, Silas LAIRD, present treasurer of Preble County. Her remains were taken to Lewisburg on Monday morning for interment where appropriate religious services were held.

Elizabeth married Thomas Wilson, son of David Wilson and Elizabeth Massey, on 10 May 1826. (Thomas Wilson was born on 14 Oct 1803 in Pennsylvania, USA, died on 21 Dec 1877 ⁴ and was buried in Lewisburg, Harrison Township, Preble County, Ohio, USA.)
